ENRICH OUR COMMUNITIES

Having been in business for over 75 years, we recognize the importance of developing strong, deep connections with the communities in which we operate, and we have a long history of serving the communities where our employees work and live. Across Oxford, we embrace the principle “think globally, act locally.” Each of our brands and businesses has latitude to decide how best to give back to their own communities, whether it’s through volunteer efforts, charitable giving, sponsorship activities or working with like-minded, responsible business partners. Here are some highlights:

Tommy Bahama

Tommy Bahama and its employees have a long history of philanthropic efforts that have not only enriched the lives of our employees but also the communities in which they live.  Since 2004, Tommy Bahama has supported The Garden of Hope and Courage Foundation in Naples, Florida, helping to fund and maintain the creation of a garden space adjacent to the NCH Healthcare System Campus.

Tommy Bahama donates time, talent and financial resources to support multiple golf tournaments that have raised funds for community services, including assistance for underprivileged and challenged individuals and families.  Some of these tournaments date back more than 20 years.

Since 2014, Tommy Bahama has partnered with No Kid Hungry to ensure every child is connected to the healthy meals they need every day. Each year, Tommy Bahama restaurants and retail stores run a Dine Out for No Kid Hungry promotion to raise awareness and funds to end childhood hunger in America. Employees frequently participate in group and team building efforts around charitable giving, including raising funds for multiple sclerosis research through the Bike MS program and other events that allow employees to work together in giving back.

To take giving one step further, in 2018 Tommy launched a social responsibility program to allow each employee to donate up to 24 hours of paid working time to support local community charity efforts.

Finally, in 2018 Tommy Bahama launched an Employee Financial Assistance Program to allow employees to request financial assistance for extreme financial hardship due to unavoidable events such as natural disaster, injury, fire, flood, sudden death or illness and for a variety of other qualifying events.

Lilly Pulitzer

Lilly Pulitzer herself once said, “If you haven’t any charity in your heart, then you have the worst kind of heart trouble,” and this is something the brand holds close in strategy and mission. Lilly Pulitzer is deeply committed to giving back in ways that are meaningful to the brand’s history, employees and customers and the communities in which they reside. Over the past two years, through in-store “Shop and Share” and “Local Love” events, Lilly Pulitzer has donated over $1.6 million in cash donations to 400+ organizations, including the American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, St Jude’s, and Susan G Komen.

Lilly Pulitzer also combines its iconic hand painted print designs and philanthropic spirit to create “Prints with Purpose” capsule collections where proceeds from the sale of these items support national causes such as the Jane Goodall Foundation, Rainforest Alliance, and Girls on the Run.

Additionally, now in its 10th year, Lilly Pulitzer is the presenting sponsor of the “Beach Bash Palm Beach” charitable event that raises funds in support of the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, one of Florida’s most unique nonprofit cultural destinations focused on ocean and sea turtle conservation.

Southern Tide

True to the love of being near water, in 2017 Southern Tide formed a significant partnership with OCEARCH, a non-profit research organization with a mission to accelerate the ocean's return to balance and abundance. Southern Tide’s support helps OCEARCH drive conservation efforts for our oceans and their related ecosystems.

On the product front, in 2018 Southern Tide launched a collection of items including performance t-shirts crafted with lightweight REPREVE® polyester that’s made using recycled water bottles. This effort not only helps protect our oceans and planet, but also directly supports OCEARCH as Southern Tide donates a portion of the sales from this collection to OCEARCH and its research expeditions.

Southern Tide also supports its local community by partnering with Friends of the Reedy River, an organization focused on being a steward of sustainable watershed management practices in Southern Tide’s hometown of Greenville, South Carolina.

Oxford Corporate

The parent company, Oxford Industries, has been headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia for over 75 years, and has a long history of supporting community-based organizations, such as United Way. Over the last five years, our Georgia teams along with the support from the Oxford Industries Foundation have donated nearly $1 million to support local United Way initiatives, with over 90% of corporate employee participation in each year.

The Oxford Industries Foundation was established in 1963 to enhance the quality of life in the business community through its support of human services, cultural, educational and health-related organizations. The Foundation recognizes that the well-being and prosperity of the business environment is bound together with the well-being and prosperity of the community as a whole. Therefore, the Foundation directs its contributions toward advancing the public welfare, helping ensure a sound social structure and supporting employee participation in the giving process. The Foundation does not view its philanthropy as charity but rather as an investment in a better society. Several of the organizations supported include the Grady Health Foundation, The Woodruff Arts Center, Cristo Rey Jesuit High School and the United Way of Greater Atlanta.

Oxford Corporate takes great pride in the philanthropic role it plays in our hometown of Atlanta. In addition to charitable donations made through the Oxford Industries Foundation, the Company appreciates and supports the contributions our employees make in the Greater Atlanta community through their volunteer activities. We honor our employees’ spirit of service and seek to support their efforts through Oxford’s Dollars for Doers Volunteer Program. Through this program, Oxford makes charitable donations based on employees’ volunteer efforts at charities of their choice.
